Here is a pic of me at the award ceremony (I came 2nd in a national competition to design a poster to encourage wellbeing for the over 70s). Was fun to get dressed up and have a slap-up lunch! It's a little hard to see the detail on my poster, so I will explain a little. The slogans on it read; "We all have something to give... we all have something to learn... we all have something to teach." The cartoons show seniors doing just that! Several summers ago, I worked at a summer camp for senior citizens and boy did I learn a lot from them! I met people in their late 80s still working in their professions who inspired me no end with their vitality and zest for life. I asked them for their secrets to ageing so fabulously. Doing lots of walking and always having something to look forward to featured large on their list! Speaking of having things to look forward to, I'm off to be a cartoonist in residence again for 3 days next week. Looking forward to catching up again in May and in the meantime, please be in touch if you have a message that you would love to put over in cartoon form or need comic-style illustrations.
